It doesn't really itch too much, but it will from time to time. It peals often though. My photo from earlier this year was of my index finger and it had been pealing so much that there was at least a 1/16" dip in my finger at that exact spot. Hurt SO much.
I didn't think about it being Eczema. I'll do some research about it and post back what I find. It went away during summer, but it's reared its ugly head again, this time on my middle finger at the first joint.View Thread
Unfortunately, I never found out what it was. I first noticed it at the beginning of January. It got worse as winter wore on: as the air dried and got cooler.
Once spring began, I saw it disappear. Here it is, winter again and I do not have it on my index finger, but now it's on my middle finger at the first joint.
I'm going to do some research on Eczema (see kelseyab1's comment), if I find out anything, I'll let you know.View Thread
I have a 1/2" x 1/4" darkened spot on my index finger that feels like a callus, but is peeling and it won't stop. It will get so bad that it cracks and I then have a wound on my finger that's similar to a "paper cut" which hurts a lot. If I put a band-aid on it with neosporin, it will heal the cut up some, but the spot itself won't go away and seems to be getting bigger. It looks like it's eating away at my finger, if I hold it horizontally I can see a slight dip down in my finger where the spot is located.
What is this? And how can I get rid of it? View Thread
