Andie, I tried them for at least 6weeks. I know that all meds & supps work differently on everyone. I just wanted to share my experience. Each & every one of our systems are different & unique! DeniseView Thread
Could I take my ambien, nortriptyline & gabapentin all at once before bed, with no other dose throughtout the day?
nortriptyline is 50mgs gabapentin is 1800 or 2700mgs and then I will also take 10mg ambien with it. The only med I would take in the morning would be propranolol 80mgs long acting.
Im having a very difficult time sleeping all of a sudden & currently split the gabapentin up 3x's daily with the 3rd dose being at bedtime already & the nortriptyline 2x's daily with the 2nd dose being at bedtime already as well and of course, the ambien too. Can anyone give any advice?View Thread
I agree! "all natural" is a dangerous term on these labels because you have to know the potential side effects just like medications & how the supp can interact with those meds. Be careful & research before you take these. Take Care, DeniseView Thread
Hi Andie......I tried all of the above mentioned supps except for Kava which my doc said not to use because of other meds I was taking. None of them helped me. I also tried a sleep blend called Alteril with no luck either. I use several meds including ambien & that usually works. DeniseView Thread
I dont know that Im a super sleeper but what I can tell you is that I LOVE to sleep! Thanks to a nightly dose of Ambien, I sleep pretty good too. I wish I could nap during the day for an hour or so but can't-never could. Goodnight & sweet dreams! DeniseView Thread
Yes, it is horrifying when one goes night after night without sleep! And you are also right in saying that unless someone goes through it, they have no clue how dibilitating it can be.
I found the sleep study to be useless. They had me take my ambien as normal so of course I slept through the night. All it told us was what I already knew, that I did not have sleep apnea! Thank God for sleeping pills!View Thread
Hi Tony...Just curious as to why you want to go off the ambien if it is giving you the sleep you need? Are you having bad side effects from it? I have been taking 10mgs of ambien every night for 3 years. I have never needed more & at times I have taken 5mgs. I have had a sleeping problem all of my adult life & will probably need to take them indefinitely. I am ok with this. I have been through the torture of not being able to sleep night after night & refuse to put myself through that ever again. Ihope you find the answers you need.View Thread
