The world record for thread count of cotton is 174 and that was set in a lab. in Germany. The Federal Standards Agency in a letter to the Textile Journal 2005 said that it will not regulate thread count.
Natural cotton is now only produced in a area near Bandos, Equador and production is limited to making nets for agricultural productions.
It is illegal in most cotton producing countries to grow natural cotton.View Thread

The best overall duvet is alpaca and the best pillow is a horsehair core with an alpaca outer layer.
Not a shock that these are the most difficult to make and also contain the most expensive in material cost.
We do not sell alot of these because of price. Mostly we sell foam and poly.
