Dr. Foulds,
I stopped smoking almost 2 months ago immediately and entirely after 25 years of smoking. I am amazed! I started with an e cig with cartridges but now I use an eGo with liquid...still at 24 - 36 mg but I am still getting used to it. I also use the NJOY Kings when my PV would be a bit too much!
Anyway, I was watching the video of the conference that you were in in Toronto I believe where you were desperately trying to make your point about how the Swedes were far more informed about THR as they had been educated with real data.
I couldn't help but see you cringe when Zeller spoke afterwards dismissing basically what you had said. I am wondering if you have seen any improvement in the US stance on this in the last 2 years. Zeller has now been named to the FDA after the abysmal corruption of senior doctors was exposed and 3 of them have gone on now to University's or Pharma. I have to say this has me deeply concerned and disturbed as Zeller will be announcing "deemin" regulations on e cigs in April. Have their attitudes even remotely shifted to embrace e cigs or are they still so tied to BT and BP that we are doomed to live under their misguided regulations.
I for one will not go back to smoking and will make my own e liquid if needed but there is an urgent need for this especially where I live in Canada. We have a very large aboriginal population here many/most smoke and are poor etc. The need is so great for reform but I worry that if attitudes remain as they were when you were at the conference, we are doomed.View Thread
