I have been smoke free for 5 weeks after smoking a pack a day for 40 years. I started very young! The patch works! Please try the patch, it is the only item that has helped me quit and this is my 4th and last attempt at quitting. I said a prayer, I put the patch on, I put my sneakers on and decided to live the rest of my life smoke free and healthy. My entire family is thrilled as I was the last holdout. I once loved smoking, now I see it has a very dirty, nasty addiction. In my past attempts to quit I had the mindset that I was losing my best friend, which came from a place of addition. This time I am choosing to feel great about my decision to quit to not gain weight and I am tracking my food and exercise plan through WebMD. It is so wonderful to be able to walk, swim chase after the kids without shortness of breathe or feeling like an outcast hiding from the family or hanging out in front of buildings puffing on something that was killing me.
