Thanks for this post; I could relate. I just quit smoking yesterday, and it's a huge challenge. I had stopped smoking when I found out I was pregnant several years ago, and then started back up after I had my son. It was easy to quit when I was pregnant; now, it's extremely difficult.
"I loved to smoke, it was my "ME" time, I felt as if I had lost my best friend" -- I agree with this 100%. I try to replace that thought with the idea that this best friend was trying to kill me.
I like the concept you mentioned about considering your heart to be your child. I am going to try and focus on that for motivation.View Thread
