Come on guys, doesn't anybody feel like asking something about God? Doesn't anybody have any miracle that's happened to them or around them? Does anybody want to talk about God, or how he's effected there life today?

Do you want to talk about if he's real or not, why some people believe in him and some don't? In all your years of living, has he ever helped you, or maybe saved you?

When I was going through chemotherapy. Why didn't the needles hurt me, why didn't I vomit everyday(like all the other patients in the room). Why wasn't I ever in bone pain, and one really weird question is, why wasn't I scared that I would die, when I had stage 4 breast cancer? Why did I wake up happy everyday, for the 9mo. of chemo? My sister and I laughed at each other for the 4hrs. a day, 4days a week, that I was there. (accidentally, making everybody else laugh) My reaction to the medication wasn't written in any-book, that we read, the nurse's and my oncologist couldn't figure it out. Why didn't I go insane after they amputated (yes, that's what I call it, amputation) my breast? I only had to see a shrink 3times, to help me adjust to having my breast amputated,(which in my mind, made me no longer a woman, but a eunuch) Why did I get over that devastation in only one month?

I contribute all of it from God. The minute I got over the shock of hearing the word Breast Cancer, I went home and begged God to take over this whole situation, because there was no way my mind could handle any of it. The next morning when I awoke, I could instantly feel somebody inside my body, making me think, walk, talk and make decisions that I knew nothing about. My oncologist would say I had to do this or that and I never was afraid. One day he asked me why and I said because God (not you) is running this whole show. He look so shocked, and said, "you must have really strong faith."

When my surgeon did my mastectomy, it could have been the janitor doing it, because I asked God to please use this mans hand and for God to do the surgery. Three different doctors, who have seen me since I healed, all asked me who did the mastectomy? They said it was the best job they had ever seen. Those are just some of the miracles that have happened to me, there are a lot more. Plus I've seen a lot of them happen to other people. Thank you for listening to me, I hope that it might make somebody else say something about God, after all, we are on the Spirituality board.

Hello Sebastian,

I always had faith like you, then one day when I was in my 50's, it changed. For one thing, God started showing me silly everyday miracles.

I was very lonesome and started doing a jigsaw puzzle. While I was looking for a piece, I said, "Come on God, help me find that piece." I was joking and didn't think he would do it, but I went straight to a piece, tried it and it fit. Of course I laughed and thought it was a coincidence, so I asked again. Sure enough, I found the next piece. That went on (me finding a piece, & him finding one) with the whole puzzle, until it was done!

I told my sister and my best friend that me and God do jigsaw puzzles together. I explained the story to them, and they didn't know what to think. I'm sure they think I'm crazy, but that's when I started feeling him in the same room with me, like a person was standing right there. He and I just keep getting closer and closer. It's so great, because your never afraid of anything.

If I didn't have the money for the light bill, I use to worry, worry and pray. I always got the money at the last min. Even though I knew he would always help me find a way, I would still worry, and I always got the money in time. I ended up worrying for nothing, plus I wasn't trusting him completely. It's hard to do and takes practice, to trust God enough to not worry. I still catch myself starting to worry sometimes, and that's when I tell myself to "STOP!" Why would he stop saving me now?

When I got cancer last year, he took over my cancer treatments so completely, that I didn't ever get sick, or have any pain from the chemo, or the radiation. When I went home, after hearing the doctor say,"you have cancer." I had two choices, one was to flip out completely and go insane. (which I almost did) The second was to turn my fear, my pain, and the cancer over to him, like you'd do if you were a little kid, trusting your mother to fix everything.

That was when we became really close. I could feel him beside me at the doctors, when they had to take blood(it didn't hurt) He was more inside me, then beside me and I could feel the miracle happening everyday. I stayed happy all the time. My sister, daughter, husband and all the other people having chemo, especially my oncologist, couldn't believe my strength or attitude. I really was deeply happy, happier then I had ever been. I wasn't happy about the cancer, I was happy all the time, because I got to have God inside my body.

He did that for me, one of the most unworthy people on earth. If he did that for me, then he will do it for you and Becca and anybody who will believe. He isn't only close to saintly people, he's closer to sinners who ask for his help, because we need him more! He made you and you are very special to him. He wants to be as close to us as a Father would be. He created you from him, and he only wants you to trust him and to love him, and he will guide you all through your life. That's all, it's that simple. People think that you have to be perfect, never sin, never make mistakes. That just isn't true, he wants us to need him, so he can make our lives easier. He knows us, and he knows that there is no such thing as a perfect human.

You know how I said I talk to him all day. Well, a lot of those times I'm asking stupid questions like, should I go to my sister's right now or wait,(traffic wise) is it safe for me to go to that place alone?, etc...... I ask him and talk to him the way you would your best friend, who can see the future.ha, ha. I really do and he really lets me know. The big secret and the hardest thing for us to do, is to trust him completely.

You have to remember that we aren't trusting a person comp., we are trusting our father completely. One who never wants to see us fail or get hurt.View Thread

Your not alone, you will never be alone. God is right beside you now. Even though your angry at him, he is still by your side. He's not the one who started the war, he's the one who got you home physically safe. It's going to take time for your mind to catch up, probably at least a year. Maybe your doctor is good, maybe you need a new one. One thing for sure is, you need different medication. It's always hard to find the correct mg or the right anti-depressants, period. I can't take any.

What do you mean your church turned it's back on you? Go to a different church, (there's only 100's if them) God didn't turn his back, and he could care less what church you go to. The only thing he wants from you, is to love him, and ask for his help. You can get through this alone, you sound like you can do anything, that you have to. It will just make your life so much easier, for you to tell him, that your mad at him, and will he please replace that anger and fear, with the Holy Spirit inside you. It's really that simple. He knows that your mad, and afraid. He also knows that you need him. He just wants you to ask.

I don't believe that he's the one in charge of the bad things that happen in our lives. I believe he's the one who comes along and saves us, if we will only ask. Most people don't believe that they are worthy to ask God for anything, and they weren't, until Jesus died for us. Now, all God want's is for you to trust, and love him. He's going to save you on his time clock, which is different from ours. Only, because he can see down the road yrs., so he knows when the best time is, or if what you want is best for you. The whole secret is to trust, and believe him, as if you were 3yrs. old.

Pray that your anger will go away, and I will too. That's the 1st step. Then, all you can do is live day by day. Stop expecting so much from yourself. You need to give yourself time to heal.

When I found out that I had cancer, I went home that same day and I had 2 choice's. Either go insane, or just let go and have God run my life. I almost went insane, then I felt God grab my hand, I literally felt him grab my hand and the cancer was a piece of cake. Every since then, I haven't feared anything. How can you ever be scared of anything, when Super Man is walking beside you? At least that's how I felt, I felt like the man who created me and the universe was walking beside me and protecting me. I hope that didn't sound silly, it's a true story. God bless you.

There is another board here, called the depression board. You might like it, because people are on there all the time. You can talk to them and somebody is there to talk back. Try it. I wish you would let me know how you're doing.

I'm sorry that you've had such a terrible life. You still love God, but your mad at him for not saving you. Child abuse is so rampant, that there has got to be a good reason for it. One that we aren't going to find out until we die. One thing for sure, God's not doing it, so your anger is misplaced.
You can't rely on the leaders of the Church, teacher's, or any of those people. (half of them are doing it themselves) They don't want to get involved in such an ugly subject. You are the only one that you can rely on, with this subject. Parent's of abused children will know about it,(sometimes it's one of the parents) and not tell the authorities, because they don't want the rest of the family, friends, and the police to know such a dirty thing is going on. And they are so stupid that they really do believe, that a child won't remember or be hurt by it!
The reason I keep using the word dirty, is because that's the way it was put to me, when I tried to save a child that was being molested by telling her parents. They preferred to ignore it.
People are the ones who hurt us!(not God) He's the one who will save us.
He hasn't let me know why he allows abuse to happen, but he has put a feeling in my heart, letting me know he has a good reason. It could be so those people will go to hell, or to see how we handle it, or to see how the people who didn't protect us(after we told) handle it. All I know is there is a good reason.
Bad things are always going to happen, amputated legs, MS, depression, parents getting murdered. God isn't making these things happen, but he will get you out of it. If you tell him that your mad at him, and will he please take that anger for him out of your heart, he will. It might take a few days, but he will do it. You know how he has his own time table and it never matches ours! He might be testing you, I don't know.
You need to contact the person who hurt you, take somebody with you and go to his house. Tell him that you are telling everybody, even the police. Shake him up a little. Let me warn you, he's going to deny it, so be ready for that. It doesn't matter, yell at the bastard "Everybody knows!" That will bother him more then anything. And when you leave, I guarantee you that a 10 ton weight will be lifted from your shoulders! And a lot of hate will be gone also.
Call the child abuse hotline before you go, (i did it when I was 31) They are so nice, and the lady will even go to his house and shake him up.(if you want her to) Telling them is a great weight lifter also. Go back to God, so he can be back with you. He will give you the strength that your needing right now. We leave God, he never leaves us.(NEVER) He is just waiting for you to come back, because he misses you. God bless you, and I will pray for you tonight.
P.S. You do not want to go to hell, because guess who you'll run right smack dab into? Him for eternity!

I can remember being close to God, as young as 4yrs. old. I was too young to have read or heard anything about him that I could understand, I just felt him with me. It would be late at night, my mother was out drinking, I was home alone, and I'd be terrified. So I would start talking to God, asking him to keep my mother safe, and to bring her home soon!

I'd be scared and I would start crying, and all the sudden he would let me feel his presence, and he let me know she would be home soon and for me not to be afraid, because he was there with me. And he's been by my side ever since.

I just went through breast cancer, and I wasn't alone, God was right by my side, as usual. He has always been with me, through the good times and the bad. Every decision I've ever made, big or small was made with him. He's more like my best friend, my father, my brother, and even my mother. He's not like a make believe thing, that some people believe in and some don't. I can feel him, just as if a live person where standing beside me.

I'm writing this because I want everybody to know, he will be with them like that too. All they have to do, is ask! People don't believe that it's that simple, but it is. You don't think your worthy to ask him that, or to ask him for anything, so you don't. That's where people are wrong, the truth is this, nobody is worthy, not even a Saint. That's why Jesus came down and died on the cross, so that we all could be worthy.

God made us from himself, we are direct decedents of him. And he loves us more, then even the Angel's. He is made of nothing but pure love. He's not like us, he's not human and doesn't hate like humans, he always forgives, he will always love us. The same way a parent loves there child, he loves us, except a million times more.

His love is unconditional, all he wants from us is to love him. And to try and live our lives the way Jesus taught. To forgive people(especially our enemies) to love, to have tolerance, to be kind, to be giving, basically he just wants us to be decent human beings. We can't be perfect because we are human, and he knows this. That's why, when you make a mistake, and you are truly sorry, he instantly forgives us. He doesn't expect us to be perfect, because he knows that's impossible. He just wants you to be the best that you can.

Tonight when you go to bed, say your prayer's and ask God if he will let you feel him beside you. He's always there, but sometimes we can't feel him because of something that we're doing. He never leaves us, we sometimes leave him. Say your sorry for your sins from today and ask him to please let you feel his closeness. That's all you have to do,(not be perfect, just ask for him) and he will be there! God bless you all.
