Hi! On July 18th of this year I had a tib-fib fracture playing softball. I had a rod and two screws inserted into the tibia and sent home with a boot for when I left the house but not other casting. I had a follow up doctor's visit and as of yesterday the doctor declared my tibia 100% healed, however the fibula has not shown (or shown very little) bone growth. The doctor was going to release me with no follow-ups until I questioned the fact that my fibula had not healed. He then perscribed a bone stimulator (I have not gotten it yet) and said I can go about my regular activity. The doctor knows I'm involved in sports and it seems to me like he should be more worried about getting this bone to heal. Should I be worried about a non-union fracture (Its been 4 1/2 months)? What else should I be doing to help the healing along? Should I really continue jogging, working out, etc.? Should I seek a second opion? Any advise is appreciated!View Thread
