I suffered an ischemic stroke approximately 6 weeks ago. I was fortunate to get to the hospital quickly. My carotid arteries were clear, my echocardiogram was good. No one seems to know what could have caused the stroke, except I have had high blood pressure for many years. It was well controlled with medication, but apparently it stopped working.
I've changed lots of my habits since then , lost 10 pounds(still have several more to go), gave up caffeine and started walking. Is there anything else anyone can suggest to help insure another stroke is in my futureView Thread
