Guys think they are bulletproof.
Too many men haven't been to a doctor since their senior season in high school sports when they couldn't go on the field without first getting medical clearance.
My website -- bulletproofmyth.com -- and weekly blog focus on men's health issues and my own experiences as a former marathoner and long-distance cyclist now restrictred to moderate exercise for medical reaqsons.
I started the blog and web site after surviving a dissected aorta and stroke that forced me into early retirement from a 20-year carerer as an admnistrator and team president in the National Football League.
Today I feel lucky to be alive.
I've shared my story and men's health message ("Bulletproof: The Men's Healthcare Myth") with civic, professional and business groups in my home state in the upper Midwest.
My goal is to bring that message to men nationwide.
Let me pose a question to you: Why do YOU think men will not get regular medical checkups?
There may be a guy in your life who needs to be part of this conversation -- the sooner the better.
I look forward to hearing from you . . . John M. JonesView Thread
