That's amazing news.
DH and I kinda decided to not tell people like you and your DH. I've told my good friend who has been supporting me through all this and my neighbor who has had her own share of IF issues. No family though. They can know when we hit our second trimester. I don't want to have to tell people if something goes wrong.
Good luck with everything. H&H 9 months!!!View Thread

Good luck getting through the day with this on your mind.
Can't wait to hear what the results are when you get home tonight. You should definitely take a digital test to get super accurate results. I would buy a FRER at the very least. When I had my faint positive I made my DH buy both digital and standard FRER tests. Just to be sure.
Again, Good luck tonight.View Thread

I didn't listen. I couldn't help myself.
I made DH go and buy more HPTs for me. I POAS two more times and they were both positive. I got my BFP!!! (x3) One was the basic FER test and the other was digital. I got two lines and a very clear YES+. Needless to say, I freaked out. I opened the bathroom door and screamed to my DH, "It f*ing says Yes!!!" Then I cried and hyperventilated. I never thought I would get a BFP. Never. We were in shock for quite some time last night. And still are.
When I woke up today I POAS again, you can never be too sure, and it was a YES+ again. I'm KU. I go in for my second beta tomorrow. Getting the numbers from the two beta tests will put my mind at ease. Somewhat. I'm definitely worried now about making it a whole H&H 9months. I just read about chemical pregnancies and that has me a little freaked out.
Thank you to all the support I've found on this board that has helped me be strong enough to get to this point. While it sucks to have gone through what I've gone through, I'm happy I can use my experiences to help you guys out as well. I don't plan on leaving this board until I feel safe. I hope that's okay with you ladies. And I will continue to show my support as best I can. When I talk about you ladies to my DH I refer to you as: my friends on my message board.
I'll update tomorrow regarding my beta numbers.View Thread

Hope everyone is doing well. Keep me in your thoughts. My betas are at the beginning of next week. Here's hoping....View Thread

Regarding your IUI with injectibles: I have had 2 IUIs, so I know what's up with them. The actual procedure is not bad. It's like the HSG, if you've had one, but less painful. There's no balloon opening your cervix. They put the speculum in you and then use a catheter to put DH's semen inside your uterus. This means the catheter has to be threaded through your cervix. Not so bad if your cervix is open enough for it to slide through. Then you lay there for a bit and you're done.
I have not done an IUI cycle with injectibles, but I did do IVF and that's a whole bunch of shots. I didn't mind giving myself the shots once I got over my initial fear of stabbing myself. The only shots I had that hurt were the progesterone shots DH gave me in my love handles. That's because they were intramuscular with big ass needles. Not fun. Where is the injection sight for the hMG shot? I don't know what drug that is to know if I've taken it. I'm assuming you won't be stimulated as much as you do on IVF, but if you are then there's the potential pain in your ovaries for being over stimulated. I could definitely feel my very full ovaries before my ER.
Hope my sharing has helped some. If you have any more questions I can answer, I'd be glad to. Good luck with your upcoming C.View Thread
