My first IUI was almost a year and a half ago. Everything looked perfect, I actually had more than one viable follicle, and I felt great... and it didn't take. I had to wait a few months before we were able to make a second attempt, and with only one mature follicle, I ended up pregnant. I have the most beautiful six-month-old baby boy I could possibly imagine. You need to do what is right for you, but know that it can work.View Thread

Never hurts to hear a success story, I guess...
We failed multiple clomid cycles and had numerous times when we couldn't even try because of ovarian cysts. Had one failed IUI back in March, took a few months off, and tried a few different things with our IUI in June. I'm now about 8 weeks PG.
I was really beginning to think IUI's never worked because I hard heard such few successes. But it can happen, so just try to relax and think positive.
I see this post is a few weeks old, did you test yet?
Good Luck!View Thread

I'm so sorry. I know how frustrating this is. I'm glad you are giving it another shot this cycle. It's a fresh start for you... I know the waiting sucks but leave the last cycle behind you and stay focused on the positive. I really hope this is it for you!View Thread
I tested this morning - BFN. I am only 11 DPIUI but it was a huge slap in the face that this probably didn't work.View Thread

Call your doctor and get the order, especially since it will be Friday and you don't want to wait all weekend. You will feel better knowing, one way or another. I sincerely hope it's good news!View Thread

Progesterone will vary. The NP I go to wanted me to use a progesterone gel, not the pills that people use. It is becoming more accepted, even over shots for IVF, because it seems to be more precise and certainly doesn't hurt like an injection would. If your insurance does not cover the gel, though, it costs about $185 a month (which is really a 2 week supply). So it depends on what your doctor recommends/prefers.View Thread

Some of my labs came back. My FSH was low, which was no shock to anyone. Still waiting on a few others. AF has been really weird, seems like it's ending already but the ultrasound showed what looks like a pocket of fluid still in my uterus. I think the cysts are really screwing with my body.
I hate this.

Now we'll take a month off Clomid. I will have another ultrasound at the end of next week to see how things are going and whether my body decided to try and ovulate on its own.
I'm really frustrated because it was another OB that prescribed the increased dose and wasn't even going to do any monitoring. After one month, I have 3 big cysts. I wouldn't even know it if I hadn't gone to someone else. At least I got up the nerve to see someone else.
Thanks so much for the support. I am really lost right now.View Thread
