If you're getting positives using FMU, then that probably works fine for you. As long as they're detecting the surge, I wouldn't worry about testing any more than that.

Some things though, it's a lot harder to have a sense of humor about, like the advice thing - and my sister is the worst! She's known for WELL over a year that hubs and I are TTC, and she's said to me on THREE different occasions since then that we need to have sex at least every day to get pregnant. The first time I thought, "Hmm, she does have 4 kids, maybe she's onto something." The second time I made a joke out of it, and the third time I got a little snotty and told her that ACTUALLY, it's recommended that you DTD every other day because it takes 36 hours for the sperm supply to build back up. I guess in about 3 more months she'll tell me AGAIN to DTD every day, so I better start coming up with my next response!!View Thread

I think it's hard for women because we really are just more emotional than men. And it's hard for men because they don't like to see us sad, so they try to "fix it", which of course comes off to us like nothing bothers them, and that they don't care as much about getting pregnant as we do. At least, that's the case for me and my husband, and it took many long, tearful talks before I realized he does care, he just wants to try to make me feel better.
I'm sure your boyfriend is just as invested in this process as you are! Hang in there!!View Thread
