I completely understand what you are going through. We have been trying for 6 months and each month when I have to tell my hubby that we aren't pregnant, it breaks my heart. I have had several months where my period was crazy late and I really thought I was pregnant. It's like my body is playing tricks on me because every little thing that could be a symptom makes me suspicious. I'm currently in my two week wait and dying to test. I'm on CD28 of a 31-32 day cycle. I feel like I might be pregnant, but I'm pretty sure that means I'm not. Good luck and keep us posted on what happens next month.View Thread
Hi all! Me and my DH have been TTC for 6 months now. I ve been charting my bbt, but decided to try an OPK. Last month, I tested 20 times (used the whole box of clear blue easy sticks!!) and even though my BBT showed what I thought was a spike at ovulation, I never got a positive on the OPK! These are supposed to be super sensitive, so now I'm worried that I have been trying all this time and not ovulating after all! I used the OPK at all different times of the day because I know that can have an effect on the test. I decided to chalk it up to a fluke and try the OPK again this month. Still no positives! Is it possible that I don't have enough LH? Do these just not work for some people? I'm wondering if anyone else has had this happen? If I don't get any positives again this month, I'm going to schedule a check up at the doctor, but any answers in the meantime would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!View Thread
Did the Clomid work for you??? I used Clomid with my first child because I wasn't ovulating. It worked in the first month! Now we are TTC again and I'm thinking of going back to Clomid. We've been TTC for 6 months and I am not getting a positive OPK. I'm thinking I'm probably not ovulating, but I was hoping it would just happen this time...View Thread
I am in the same boat! I also had a surprise pregnancy in '09 so I though TTC the next one would be a piece of cake. I've been using the OPKs and I feel like they are making life more confusing and making me obsess more. I've been trying for 6 months now and no luck. My cycles range from 28-35 days, so I just BD from day 10-24 as much as possible because I never know what the cycle will be.
Good luck! Keep me posted on whether the vitex supplements help you regulate. I'd be willing to try that.View Thread
I was touched by your story and you are right, we cannot lose hope. I have tried the sticks and I don't seem to ever get a positive one. I've been using the expensive clear blue ones, but maybe need to try the dollar ones. I often find that stuff at the dollar store is better than the expensive anyways! Thanks for the tip!
