I'm very sorry to hear about your friend. It's terrible when something like that happens, especially suddenly and around the holidays. We had a rough Christmas as well. We took my father in law to hospice on Christmas Eve and now we're just waiting for that call, which should be in the next week or so. It's been rough being 3 hours away, but DH did at least get to visit with him while we were there for Christmas. I'm thankful everyone has time to prepare, though.
I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers and I hope you can find comfort and peace in this difficult time.View Thread

Kristin, that is all great news! I'm so excited for you guys. I will definitely check back for your blog link, as adoption is something I've always wanted to do. Good luck on both fronts - adoption and TTC. Hopefully soon you'll be building a family!View Thread

Perry- Sorry you had to deal with that
I hope the rest of your recovery is quick and painless. Vybe- Yay! Such good news and I'm so happy that everything seems to be working out!
My update- This will be my last update before officially moving to PAL. Had my ultrasound today at 8wks3days and all is good. I will be lurking and checking in on you ladieView Thread

But hopefully that's a good sign! I'll know more in a few weeks. Last time I didn't really have much in the way of symptoms, so it's strangely comforting when I wake up and feel like crap every day.View Thread
Ani - Good luck in the rest of your 2ww, hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised.
B - Sorry you have to deal with seeing other pregnant women. It's always difficult, but especially when there are similar due dates. I felt like my family and friends had a baby boom after my m/c and it was hard to feel like it was constantly in my face. Good luck in your 2ww!
Perry - I'm so very sorry
((hugs)) I'm glad you are able to look at the positives and that's great news about the drug cycles. Hopefully it gives you some hope for the future. Wishing you a speedy recovery so you can get back to ttc when you're ready.View Thread
Ani - Great job on the weight loss! I managed to lose 5 of the 15 I wanted to lose this summer, but I haven't been very good about it. Just improving our diet and trying to be more active. Healthy bodies help make healthy babies! Good luck in your 2ww.
Michelle - Wow it does sound like you've been busy and had plenty of stress lately. Sorry your RE appointment didn't go as you hoped, maybe you'll still get good news this month!
Perry - I bet he is measuring from your ovulation instead of the first day of your last period. I got the same day for 7 weeks (5 weeks from ovulation/conception) when I went from that (9/19), but counting from CD1 I got 7 weeks on 9/21. I wouldn't worry too much about it since it's only a few days difference, but it's more accurate to go from ovulation/conception if you are sure of the date. Since you did the shot, I bet your doctor is going from that since you all know when ovulation was. I hope that helps and wasn't too confusing. lol
My update - My first appointment is Oct 11, at 8 weeks like normal. I don't have any health issues so I think they are just assuming the m/c was a fluke and odds are everything will be fine this time, so no reason for early testing. Hoping for a good appointment and just trying to be patient over the next 3 weeks. I'll hang around here until after my first u/s before moving to pal if that's ok. I'll probably mostly be lurking.
Good luck ladies!View Thread

Another update from me - TRIGGS - I tested just now and got a bfp. I couldn't wait til morning. Almost exactly one year since my last bfp. Must be something about this time of year!View Thread
