CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I'm so glad for you & your husband, I was actually just checking out your blog ( after I saw your kind & supportive reply to my comment the other day) and got a little teary-eyed from the excitement for you. View Thread
Similar story here - been not officially TTCing but not avoiding it for over a year... unfortunately I was laid off a year ago and I'm still looking - I made the bigger bucks here so without me working for so long it's making it difficult to TTC because of the financial worries. I need a job soon and I'm stressed because I feel like the longer I go without making $ the longer making a baby is going to come second.
I've been on a lot of interviews the past few months and it's very upsetting when I get replies like "you're overqualified", "we've given the position to someone more junior", "we can't compete with the pay your looking for" - well, [excuse the language>, give me a frigging chance!
Anyway, let me not rant more about that... the point is, now I'm feeling scared of getting PG and then REALLY freaking out financially.
When we have our baby... I can't wait to see him/her sleeping on my DH's chest - I honestly think I'll cry the first time I see that. I want to share all the things I like to do on my own - like taking long walks, looking at trees, animals. I want to see my niece playing with him/her. I want to spoil them with creativity and take a million pictures every single day.
Oh my... I wish you'd added a third choice, "Argg! I don't know either!"
I feel similar... I've had slight cramping also and nipples are really sensitive the last two days, weird burst of high energy and then extremely tired/sleepy. ...But since we're JSO and next month is when we're officially TTC I kind of don't want to worry about it. I tried to avoid O days this month but since we're not using anything to really know when it is, I guess it could've happened. I do wonder too if I'm making myself feel it because I really want to get PG soon!View Thread
From what I've found out, it doesn't affect your fertility it only affects your chances... Technically you are "peeing the sperm out", some may still have gotten in but you want to try to keep most in. So basically you wait a little while before going to pee (I've seen anywhere from 10 mins to 30 minutes) -- the more you wait, the more sperm that has a chance to swim up.
That actually happens to me too, even if I pee before intercourse I always have the urge to go again...I convince myself to relax and hold it in for a little while.View Thread
Hi, my obgyn also suggested I stop two months before ttc, so I stopped last month and I'm waiting to get my period this month and then next month we will begin. In doing my own research it takes some women a while to get back on track (whatever that may be, or it could even be a new pattern).
A few years ago I stopped my bc (we decided to save $ and use condoms) and I got my period a couple of weeks later, it went away and then I got it again the week after but this one lasted like two full weeks... it was a drag!!! (I got back on bc the following month after that experience.)
Then last year I lost my insurance last year and again I was off my bcp, prepared to get a long and unexpected period...but then I got it totally normal, as if I was still on the pill, and it went on normal (like clock-work) for several months. I got back on bcp this year after my hun and I got married, so we'll see what happens this month... of course I'm hoping it stays in it's current pattern so that I can rely on when I think I'll be fertile
So, I say wait a few more days, maybe even a month, don't stress over it, stay healthy, stay positive and see what happens. I hope this was some kind of help...View Thread
