Man o man! I didn't think that losing this weight would be this hard. ( I am 5'4" and 265....I'm a lard a#$ I freely admit it lol) I've been trying hard for the last 3 years to lose weight but it just doesnt seem to happen. I have tried everything that I can think of but nothing seems to work. I almost to the point of just eating like a tiny meal once a day. I've followed too many diet routines and mel plans to list. Is anyone else having troubles? I would like to have a weight loss buddy if anyone is interested (I'm very competitive lol). Thanks for letting me vent guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It means alot to me that you all "listen" to me!!!

I'm just wondering how you're doing?
Have you discussed with DH about continuing again?View Thread
Ok Im not sure if my post went through or not (my internet crashed lol) so I am posting it again.
My name is Ann and my husband has finally decided after almost 4 years of marriage that he is ready to TTC!!! Personally, I have been ready since the day we said our I DOs. I was diagnosed with PCOS in January 2010. I was diagnosed with HPV in August of 2006 but in January 2010 (same time I was diagnosed with PCOS), I switched to a new OBGYN and she told me that my HPV was gone. (sorry felt i had to give a little back history) My question is that is there any advice or tips that you lovely ladies can give to my husband and I? This will be our first child and neither of us have children from previous relationships. Any advice, thoughts, and/or tips will be and are greatly appreciated. I just want to say thank you a head of time!!
Thanks again girls!!!

The nurse called me and told me my beta is RISING! Its still very low and she said it could go either way at this point. I went from 4 on Sunday to 11 today. I go back in on Thursday. If it is still rising I will wait a week and go in again. She said they're not giving up until they have reason too.
She said it could be that a piece of tissue is still attached, or it could be a healthy pregnancy. At this rate we just don't know. This is SO CRAZY. I'm trying not to get my hopes up knowing that these numbers are WAY too low, but at the same time trying to stay positive.
I've read some other posts from women who had the same thing happen. Some ended positive, some negative. We just don't know at this point.View Thread
Thanks!View Thread
Idk where to begin. If I talk in circles, or dont make any sense, forgive me as I am slowing losing my mind. I hate feeling so helpless. Let me tell you a little about myself.
When I was 17yrs old, I had surgery because of a ruptured cyst. They scraped them clean, said I was good to go. I had a reg cycle up until the age of 20. Then I noticed I slowly started gaining weight even though my eating habits did not change and my cycle came less often. Went to different doctors, all told me I was fine.
When I was 22yrs old, my bf and I decided we wanted ttc. After 2 years of trying, we had a m/c. 2 months later we conceived, but didnt find out till I was 11w 6 days. I am happy to announce my princess was born New Years Eve.
from the day my daughter was born till now, it has been 7 years. While we weren't actively ttc, we weren't preventing it. I had bloodwork done (as per my RE) and he dx me with PCOS.
The RE told me the key to my success was to lose weight I explained to him I have done so but it only stays off for a while then I gain it back over time. Due to food allergies, my food options are limited so I should not have these problems.
my questions are:
a) how do you chart your O's if your irregular and each month is different
b) how long has anyone gone ttc w/o the use of meds
c) how do you deal with the stress of getting BPN when you test?
Thanks for letting me vent!

Ha. And I'm not an emotional person or someone who cries easily. As of right now they're thinking they'll do the retrieval March 17th, transfer 3 to 5 days later. Then they would do a blood draw 2 weeks later to check for pregnancy. That would mean that it would be on March 31st. Which, was to be our Due date with our twins. I don't think I'd get the results the same day since its a weekend but that's already going to be a rough day in its own.
I need to stop thinking ahead so much and just take each day as it comes.
Sorry for such a long and rambling post, guess I needed to vent a bit.View Thread
I've been wondering how you're doing?
When is your tww wait up so you can test?View Thread
Then last night I was sitting down to dinner and I started feeling a pinching pain in my lower left abdomen. It felt like 2 months again when I felt like I O'd, but I wasn't using the OPK's yet. So I ran upstairs, tested and got my first smiley face!!!! And it was Day 20!!!
I was soooooo excited!!!
So if I don't get a positive on the preggers test this month, I'll know to test twice a day from now on. It's a little extra but at least I won't miss the smiley face!!!
So the hubby and I got to work last night and I'm gonna make him work tonight too!! I am sooooo hopeful for this month!!!
Good luck to everyone as well this month. I wish everyone positives on all their tests!!!View Thread
We also did the trial transfer today, which I didn't know we were going to do. That was absolutely horrible, way worse than the HSG I had. I guess its very difficult for them to get the catheter where they need it to go. I will probably have to be under anesthesia for the transfer. I knew from a previous procedure that my uterus was difficult, but for an embryo transfer they don't want to have to worry about that.
So, starting Sunday I take Lupron for 2 weeks. I think its March 7th I start my Gonal F. My retrieval should be around 3/17. We're getting there!View Thread
I'm just so overwhelmed by all this but I can not wait to start those injections... weird huh? haView Thread
I'm just wondering how everything went/is going?
I've been thinking of you and hoping you were able to do the IUI.View Thread
Back in 2008 a small cyst on my ovary was found. So my doctor changed up my bc pills to help get rid of the cyst. Which worked... however I ended up having multiple pulmonary emboli in both of my lungs. I do not have any genetic factors or dispositions, and the doctors all believe I got them due to taking a new form of birth control pills. So I have been off the pill for over 3 years now.
We weren't exactly "trying" during this time, but due to not taking pills, we weren't doing anything to try either. But I never gave it much thought that I hadn't gotten pregnant.
Growing up I never really had "regular" periods, but once I started bc pills, they were fine. Earlier this year, now that I had been off of the bc pills, I started having irregular bleeding. I would bleed for 3 weeks straight. I had a dnc and they couldn't find anything. That seemed to help regulate me for a while.
It happened again where I bled for a week, nothing for a day or so, then bleed again for a week, then nothing. Then again for a week I would bleed. So I went back to my dr.
She had me wait to take blood tests until during my cycle, which I did. Which is when she determined that I have PCOS.
So, besides extra types of vitamins she has me taking, I am taking metformin and clomid. I took my first round of 50mg Clomid last month, and a blood test was done on the 20th day of my cycle, which showed I had ovulated. But... no pregnancy.
I JUST finished up my second cycle of clomid and am waiting to see if it works this time! I bought an ov kit, and am waiting for that happy face to appear...
So... questions....:
-How long have most of you been on Clomid before reaching success (if you have?).
-Have you had any side effects? I so far haven't had any, but I'm only on the 50mg, so I don't know if that is why I haven't had any.
-Does the metformin help you concieve, or just make your body a more viable candidate?
-What do you normally do after your round of Clomid? Meaning, do you see a dr right away for testing (i.e. bloodwork, ultrasound etc?)? Because after my test last month the doctor just said to call her when I thought I would be pregnant... She didn't really say that I can't stay on the Clomid for long; and she didn't tell me to take any more tests. Is this normal?? I like my doctor, but I've read through a few of your posts and it seems as if you all are getting ultrasounds a lot too?
Thanks for any help, advice, success stories, and recommendations to help me out on our journey. I know I've waited a while to have a family, but I just didn't think it would be this difficult

I scheduled a consult for next week. That same day the office is holding a once a month IVF meeting for interested couples so we will be attending that as well and getting all the info we can. We're thinking now that we'll try IUI one more time. If it doesn't work move onto IVF. Its a lot to take in for me and I have a lot of thoughts and emotions but I really think this is something we need to do. DH said he's willing to do whatever it takes and whatever I feel I need to do.
Have any of you considered IVF or have any info? This is kind of scary for me and I'm already feeling a bit overwhelmed and we're not even started. I guess I just never thought we'd get to this point.View Thread
When I go in for my next baseline I want to ask about increasing my dosage slightly and maybe I can get more follicles. I usually end up with 3 which is good but I want more "targets" but I also know they have to make sure I'm not producing too much estrogen on the injections. So we'll just see what happens I guess.View Thread
how are you all doing? just wanted to see how everyone was. i hope all is going well. i pray and hope that all you ladies are doing well.
Thank you,
