I come here from time to time to check up on you ladies. you are always in my prayers.
Pray, i can understand why you would feel the way you do. your struggle has been so long now. but i do believe that in the end you will have a child. you still have a lot of options and treatments are only getting better. as for your husband, i am sure he doesnt hold anything against you. you are his family and he loves you. one thing i didnt want to say to women here because i didnt want to hear it when i was ttc was adoption. infertility doesnt just rob us of having a child but also from the experience of pregnancy. i thought i could never love a child that was not my own, but when you see a child, at that moment i dont think it matters where the baby comes from, it only matters that you love him/her and they are yours. my point is no matter how it happens, your husband will become a dad and you a mom one day. you guys are already a family, you're just waiting for the baby, who will come one day. my prayers are always with you. RE wanted to check husband's sperm so we did it. there doesnt have to be a specific time of day. but a word of advice, our doctor kinda sprung it on us. when we first met her, she was like "since you are already here, why dont you give us your sperm". my husband was totally blind sided and not prepared. i am not sure how your husband is but my husband was very upset and embarrassed afterwards. so depending how your husband is, make sure he is prepared and knows what to expect. DH kept thinking that the nurses were laughing at him. ofcource they werent but he was so paranoid. good luck!View Thread
there are many IVF programs out there that help couples pay for IVF or they get "IVF scholarship". I looked into applying, it looks like you just find the program you are interested in and apply for it. Here is one website: http://www.inciid.org/article.php?cat=&id=239 .
also, check with your local hospital and clinics, sometimes there are local groups who offer help with IVF or drugs and/or treatments.
Injectables are completely painless and very very easy to do. i can guarantee that you will have no trouble with them. if you go on youtube, there are many videos that show you how to inject. Plus, i dont know if this will be an option, and you can ask your doctor, but i used the drug follistim for which i still have the pen and the kit. if you want and if it helps, i can send you the pen, so that it helps with the cost. let me know if thats something you might be interested in.
God, i am so so sorry...I was really praying that this would be it for you. Pray is right, this is so incredibly unfair. Times like this i just want to let go of all hope and just be cynical. I really cant imagine the pain you must be feeling.... i wish there was something i could do or say to make you feel better...
I cant even imagine what you must be going through right now. its almost been a week now, so you are almost there. in my tww, i didnt feel any different. infact i was having a lot of cramping (progesterone can do that). like you said, each pregnancy is different. i know its difficult but try to be positive (easier said than done!) and try to surround yourself with good things.
