I had twin boys last Feb 2011 at 23 wks. They are with God for their lil bodies just could not make it. I gave birth to them alive and kicking, but they just came too soon. I didn't know I was having twins until 17 wks and the I had them at 23 wks! It was a hard time, our excitment turned to sorrow very quickly.
My question is what are the chances of having twins again? I am 34 and pregnant at 6 wks. My 1st doc app is next Tues. I am very anixous to see how many babies are in there! Does anyone have the experience of having mulitiples and then having them again?
I've been doing some research online about it, I know a great deal about twins as well, but just wanted any personal experience if anyone is willing to share. Twins do run in my family, as I found out!
Hoping this pregnancy ends well and we come home with a prize or two!View Thread

So my question is this:
Are you hungrier when you are pregnant with twins than a single pregnancy?

I'm 4 1/2 months along & expecting Twins! I only just found out that I was expecting twins last month, so I'm still very excited & new to the "world of Twins". I have a DS (3) and DD (16 months) who keep me busy, so I'll really have my hands full once the Twins arrive!
Just thought that I'd introduce myself. Hope that everyone is doing good. H&H pregnancies all!View Thread
I'm a frequent member of the Preg. after Loss board after having 2 m/c this year before concieving again this cycle..
I'm currently 5 weeks 4 days and had a U/S today because my numbers were so high doc thought i was further along..
Anyway..
There were 3 sacs..
One clearly with an Embryo yolk sac.. the other two smaller one appeared to have debris in it possibly dissolving yolk? and the other one he didn't really say.. i thought i saw a sac in it but it was hard to tell he was moving around so fast..
Twins don't run in my family so this was a shocker to him and me..
What i'm wondering however is how many woman had multiples where one or two of the sacs were significantly smaller that actually turned out to be viable? tis goin to be a long wait till my next U/S at 8 weeks.. before i know more..

Also, if I was to be pregnant with twins, would pregnancy symptoms be more severe and possibly show up earlier than having a singleton?
Thanks

I went to the ultrasound but they couldnt see the baby. It was too early. All they could see was the sac forming. Also, that week, I had bled a bit, which I think was my implantation bleeding. This all leads me to believe I am about 4 weeks pregnant. Hormone levels at 4 weeks should be anywhere up to like 430. Mine were 8,000 two days ago. Even if I was 5 weeks and the spotting was my missed period, the level is only supposed to be like 6,000.
All of my research is leading me to believe it's twins or tripletts, but the doctors out here all contradict each other and if you ask anyone, none of them are good at all, so I don't know what to think. I was hoping for some advice from people who have had more than one or remember their hormone levels. Thank You!View Thread
) So, I'm trying to take it EZ, but it's a bit tough with a 22 month old wanting me to pick him up every minute....Anyway, I just had to share.View Thread
