I don't remember having any pains with my first and this is really scaring me!!! I go to the doctor Tuesday, but I think I am going to call my OB's nurse just to make myself feel better. I am not usually a worrier but this is bothering me!!
Any opinions??View Thread
We're expecting twins in July and we're thrilled and frightened all at the same time. I'm currently 27 weeks and definitely starting to get fatigued quickly. So far everythings been progressing smoothly and we're very thankful for that.
I look forward to getting to know you all better in the coming weeks. I wish you all a smooth pregnancy and healthy twin vibes to all!View Thread
Still a little freaked out about having twins - my husband and I were planning to stop at two kids, so we're trying to get used to the idea of three. We don't have any other sets of twins in either family ever and didn't use any fertility assistance so we never considered in a million years this would happen. I'm starting to get a little excited about it, though, and am hoping for a boy and a girl. I'm looking forward to my next doc visit to make sure everything and everyone is still doing well. I wish I could have an ultrasound each time just to get visual confirmation. When they just do a heartbeat check, how are they sure that there's two and not just hearing the same one twice?
Anyway, I had a healthy pregnancy with my first and hope this one continues that way. I am so nervous about any complications or the possibility of a c-section. Also, even though I've been so sick I've been eating a lot (very hungry and helps curb nausea). I think I've already gained a few pounds and I really want to keep that under control. How has your weight gain been so far?View Thread
I went to have a tummy check on Thursday and I had gained 5 pounds in two weeks!! I was appalled at that, because I know it was due to chowing down on candy and drinking a lot of soda...I've already worked on going back to my good diet. Tonight I've eaten a lot of rich foods and soda, but I think one day won't hurt too much, as long as I behave tomorrow. Anyway, that's my only weight gain so far (due to eating so healthy in comparison to how I used to eat).
I started showing at about 13 weeks and now I'm quite obviously pregnant. Women in my family usually don't show until 6-7 months or so.View Thread
There were no issues during the ultrasound. Twin A is 12 oz, Twin B is 15 (just shy of a pound!!). They said that is normal for one to be smaller, especially the lower one because they are supporting all the weight of the other, making it a little harder to grow. They are close to 12 inches long, I'm so excited! We had picked out names - Eva Rose and Jenna Lynn. However, the latter name is one I agreed to, not because I liked the name, but because I didn't hate it. So, we are attempting to find a more suitable name, and any suggestions are welcome!!!View Thread
What are your thoughts? Double the items? Any place yall would recommend for a registry instead of BrU?View Thread
I am due Sept. 12th, but my doctor has already said it will be August. My son was 9 lbs. 5 oz!!
I have gestational diabetes (also had it with my first) and I am taking 2 shots per day right now!! It is very managable so far, I just have to watch everything I eat. Not fun when you are preggo!! I also have been going to the doctor every 2 weeks since 6 weeks......not fun either.
I will find out sometime in April what I am having........I am so ready!!!
I am so excited about this board to be able to get to know you other twin mommies!!View Thread
How far along were you when you first started feeling movement (if you have yet) and is one more active than the other?View Thread
So far, the fatigue and round ligament pains has been the worst. The fatigue has dropped off since I got past the first trimester, but the RLPs started exactly at 18 weeks, and has only gotten worse...unless I sit a lot...which I do. I eat almost constantly, and I ate even more it seemed during the first trimester. Lucky for me, no real morning sickness, just slight queasiness throughout the day.
Also, when did you ladies start showing and what is typical for women in your family? For instance, my sister and mother don't typically start showing until about 6 months. My sister didn't look pregnant until after 8 months with her first child. I started showing a little at about 13 weeks. At 19w2d, I am noticeably showing.View Thread
Violet, you said you are having twin girls - congratulations! Little girls are so much fun to dress up! ...Not that I have any of my own.
My big ultrasound is next Wednesday - Saint Patrick's Day. I'm so excited!! I'm really hoping for one of each, though twin boys would be great so I don't have to go through years of PMS when they hit teenhood. I'll let you know when I find out what they are.
Kelsey, when is your big ultrasound? Technically I am due August 3, so I can't see yours being much more than a month from now.View Thread
DH and I are currently living with my parents, and my mom has decided she no longer wants to move the queen size bed from one of the extra rooms. That means less room to work, and we will have to use only a single crib for a while - which I planned on doing. I didn't think it was a good idea to separate the twins so soon after birth, but maybe when they start bumping into each other, we'll have our own place and more room.View Thread
I was wondering all this because I've been having some serious round ligament pains, and while I do a lot of sitting at work, there are times when I have to walk around, which makes it worse. Also, there is the hike into the gate - I already have DH dropping me off at the gate, and I still have to shuffle slowly to my building!View Thread
So, in getting to know new folks, please take a moment to answer some questions!
What is your name/screen name?
