While you husband can carry the twin gene you won't be any more likely to have twins than i was. The gene your husband may carry causes a female to hyperovulate two eggs which both get fertilized. He would pass this gene down to the baby. If this baby were a girl, she could get pregnant with twins. If he were to pass this gene down to a baby boy the boy would then in turn be able to pass it down to his children but couldn't actually have twins himself unless his wife had this gene.
For you to be able to have twins you would either have to ovulate two eggs( which would mean the gene was passed down to you by your mother or father) or your fertilized egg would have to split resulting in identical twins which is what i have. Twins don't run in my family in fact my set is the first set ever for both my family and my husbands.View Thread

There are two kinds of twins, identical twins which is where the fertilized egg splits resulting in two babies and fraternal twins which is when the woman ovulates two eggs and they both get fertilized resulting in two babies. His sperm can't make you ovulate two eggs and it can't make your egg split either.
Any daughters you have could have twins though since your husband can pass the twining gene or hyperovulation gene down to them and cause them to ovulate two eggs. He can also pass this gene down to any sons you have but they would in turn have to pass it down to a daughter. This is where skipping a generation comes into play.View Thread

I didn't want my girls' names to start with the same letter but that is what happened am i'm happy with their names, they just seem right. It is really neat because my husband picked out one of the names and i picked the other. They were the only two names we could come up with that we both liked.View Thread
