My 16 year old daughter has been having extreme pain in her Vaginal opening since November 2012. We have seen 3 Gynocologists and 2 Urologists and are not any closer to a answer. It is taking over her life. She missed 18 days of school last trimester along with soccer and everything else that she loves. The frustration that she and I both have is taking a toll on us. Does anyone have any answers? She is not able to sit, wear certain clothes. I have found her in the fetal postion many times in tears. The doctors just keep giving her pain killers and I am afraid she will get addicted to them. She has also had an ultrasound that was normal and has been test for all STD's. HELP!! This is making life awful for her. Any advice would be helpful.View Thread
I take Lyrica which helps a small bit but its better than nothing. I also use A and D ointment all the time. Every now and then I use Amatryptaline ointment(sp) and when its really bad I take two Amatryptaline tablets. I sit on an ice pack. Whew, its like my vuvla is on fire and it needs a fire extinguisher.View Thread
I have Vulva Lichen Simplex Chronicus. It causes me to have constant burning pain of my entire vulva area, labia minora (sp), inner labia majora, my buttock and inner thighs. I have had this for two years. I have tried ointments, oils, pills, suppositories, procedures and injections and everything has failed. I'm still looking for the answer.
Sometimes I get extremely depressed and will lay in bed bawling. Sometimes I think there is no hope and I can't imagine living with this forever. Most of the time I try to stay positive. Most of the time I even have a sense of humor about all of this.
I have so much that I would like to add but I would like to hear your stories and see what we have in common. Perhaps we can help each other.
