Hi Anon_165191,
The best community to visit to ask your questions is the Ear, Nose, and Throat Community board with Dr Moser.
At the top of that board is a link to the Ear Infection Health Center where you will be able to read more about them.
I know you may be reluctant to visit an army doctor but the health care is free as far as I know when you are in the U.S. Army so I hope you will reconsider and visit a doctor if you need to.
Take care!

Hi Anon_164106,
I'm sorry you are having pain problems around the top of your buttocks area. Photo or no photo though, our WebMD health professionals aren't able to diagnose anyone over the internet.
What I can suggest is that you use the Symptom Checker tool to pull up articles that may be helpful to you.
We also have a Skin Problems & Treatments Health Center and a Skin Problems and Treatments Community board for help with your questions.
Do see a doctor for help if your skin does isn't clearing up.
Take care.

American Idol: James Durbin Wows With Talent, Tourette's is the newest blog entry from our Diagnosis: Reality Check blog .
If you are an American Idol TV fan, read more about one of the contestants and his struggles with both Asperger's syndrome (an autism spectrum disorder) and Tourette's syndrome.
Have you been watching American Idol this season? I have to admit that I'm watching other shows which are on at the same time peroid including Survivor and Americas Nest Top Model, but I certainly know how talented this year's Idol contestants are!
You can post your thoughts about any of the topics in the Diagnosis: Reality Check blog directly on the blog itself.

Hi Sherrielbyr,
Shingles can occur anywhere on the body, it's one of the most frequently asked questions on our Skin Problems and Treatments Community board.
We also have a Shingles Health Center to read more about this skin condition. Remember that shingles is caused by the same herpes zoster virus that causes chicken pox so it is really important that you do not expose your skin to anyone who has never had chicken pox because you can be contagious without knowing it.
It really isn't possible for anyone to be diagnosed over the internet so you may want to use the Symptom Checker tool before finding articles that may be helpful. Talk to your doctor for more help.
Take care!

Hi Mikayla66,
Is it a WebMD article that you read or do you think it was from another media source? I tried using the WebMD search engine to try and find an article meeting your criteria but I couldn't find one. I did find some other articles about allergies to nickel (which is an alloy used in a lot of jewelry).
Study Unlocks Mystery of Nickel Allergy
The Allergies Community or the Skin Problems and Treatments Community may be helpful in answering your questions too.
Take care.
