I was on Tri-Sprintec and I had started having problems with my period being inconstant. Starting and stopping but that cycle would continue for two weeks at a time. It would almost be like having 2 periods a month. So, I went two months like that before I decided to quit my birth control. I quit in the end of October after my last pill pack. Since then I haven't had a full period. Yes, I am sexually active with my boyfriend. We have been using condoms and the amount of sexual activity has been minimal due to my sexual health concerns. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. I also haven't had any overt symptoms of pregnancy.
My current issues are that I have developed almost a chronic heartburn, have next to no period, middle/lower back pain,i have a constant fullness in the pelvic/lower abdomen region and am feeling painless muscle spasms that almost feel like someone rolling a rolling pin inside me and it's random. I don't even know how to explain it. And the location of this feeling just happens to be right around the c-section scar from my cyst removal surgery so many years ago. I haven't seen my doctor in the last 2 1/2 months but I am going to make an appointment soon because this is starting to worry me with my medical history. I was just wondering if anyone else out there is having problems like this and what they know about it.View Thread

Also, my back has began to ache. It first started in only my lower back, but now it's also traveled to my upper back, mainly on my right side.
I had my gallbladder removed almost four years ago, so I know that cannot be the case.
If anyone has any ideas on what this could be, I would really appreciate knowing.
Thank you for your time.View Thread

I'm a 49 y/o caucasian woman. I had an hysterectomy in 2000, where all was removed except a small piece of one ovary. I'm not on hormone replacement therapy. I just don't know why this would start all of a sudden like this. Everything I read about sore breasts relates to an increase in estrogen. I don't think this could be the problem since I probably need to be on hormone replacement therapy.View Thread
My main concern is the fact that I have very little energy which I think is a result of this prolonged period. I recently started watching what I eat to help me lose weight but now I'm wondering if that's such a good idea at this particular time. I'm not sure how to keep my energy levels up while not straying too far off course with my "diet"View Thread
For around three months, I've been getting my period every two weeks. So one week of being on my period, one week of being off, one week on, one week off. I thought the problem would fix itself, that I was just being irregular but if I let nature take it's course, I'd be fine and regular soon enough--so I didn't do anything about it. But by the time I had my 5th period in a 3 month span, I decided to start taking my birth control (Microgestin) again.
I was prescribed this a few years ago to regulate my periods, and it did the trick. I took it for almost a year, and I've been off it for a year now (until the beginning of this month). However, I've been on Microgestin for a month now, and my period still comes every other week. ALSO, my most recent cycle has been going on for ten days now.
I saw a doctor last friday who did nothing but tell me I wasn't pregnant nor anemic at the time, but when I went in for my appointment, I hadn't been bleeding for more than seven days (as I am now). I'm trying to schedule an appointment with an OB/GYN asap, but I don't think anyone can see my until monday or tuesday (and by then, I'll have been bleeding for 14 days straight). I don't know what to do at this point. With 5 irregularly recent periods preceding this extra long one, I'm worried that I'll become anemic or suffer other health problems.
Has anyone experienced this before? What was the cause? Do I have cysts/polyps? Is it more serious? Is there anything I can do to stop my current period (though it's light and spotty, it just keeps going!) I'm just looking for answers of any kind. I'm very worried.View Thread

Is this a safe way to keep clean and sanitary for females while on their menstrual cycle. I have never seen nor have i heard of this new equipment. What are the side affects, are there any life threatening situations that may occur. Please help because if it is all positive attributes I would like to try this.View Thread
I have a lot of other symptoms such as weakness, abnormal sleep (I can sleep for 20 hours easily), increased urination, mild headaches, and slightly darkened spots on the back of my neck (about the size of quarters). I have no idea if any of this is even related to one thing.
Id love to get some advice on this since no one else has been able to help.View Thread
It's not that easy to accept you have breast cancer or doing a physical examination of the breast, at least once a year. However, it's very necessary doing so. If you find out ahead of time chances are you'll recuperate faster. Breast cancer symptoms include lumps, breast pain, skin irritation, persistent fever , nipple discharge other than milk, swelling, and some others. Don't give up, fight, and live a healthy life. You won't regret taking care of yourself. Your family will greatly appreciate it. Besides benefiting yourself, you'll make it easier on them. Don't be stubborn, take your medicine, and be docile. I know the pain can be excruciating, but be brave, you'll get to the other side of the river. It'll be less painful surrendering your health to good hands, and dealing with it. Not wanting to get a cure will only worsen things. Go to websites, and read the stories of people like you who have survived and lived many years. Encourage other cancer patients in their sad journey, and your pain will be less.View Thread
I started taking Micronor (mini pill) August 5, 2011. I have only missed a dose by a few hours once since I have started taking it. I was getting my period approx every 2 weeks and ALWAYS when my female room mate would begin hers. Before Micronor I was on Levora and my DR switched me to Micronor due to migraines.
My periods were August 12th for one day, spotting.
August 28-September 1
September 23-28th
and nothing since then. My roommate started hers on Friday (when I was also due) and I was cramping a bit, but absolutely nothing now and no bleeding at all. My fiance and I do not use any other methods then the micronor, and have sex regularly 4-5 times a week. I am wondering if I am pregnant and when I should test. Or if it is just that my periods have stopped from this pill. Any advice or previous experiences?
Thank you!View Thread
I have a friend who has pus-filled bumps in between her legs, near her vaginal area. She does not know what it is. Is there someone who can help? And the bumps hurt whenever she walks or moves around because her legs touch each other. Please help!View Thread
Some time last year I went to my physician and told him that I was having some pain during and slight bleeding when wiping after a bowel movement. He examined me and noticed a small 'fissure' and told me that I was simply experiencing constipation. He told me to get miraLAX and that in a week everything would be fine.
I did what he said, and for a while things did improve but shortly after I was experiencing the same problem. There is no blood in the actual stool, just when I wipe there is bright red blood--only a little. I have been living with this for maybe a year now and have just thought that maybe I was wiping too hard but now I am starting to suspect that it is more than that.
Current symptoms include, swelling around the anus which becomes sore to the touch, slight bleeding after bowel movements, and pain and overall discomfort during bowel movements. Please this is quite embarrassing, but I need help, could I have hemorrhoids?View Thread
