Do you live within a resonable distance to a University hospital? I know have had to travel to Charlettesville VA a few times. It is not easy living without insurance I know from experience. Losing a job with excellent health care was harder to adjust to than the loss of income.
Good luck and I hope I have given you some advice that you can use.
How old are you? Do you plan on children? Have you have any procedures in the past to help with the problem? I had trouble with my periods all my life. I started at the age of 13 as a heavy bleeder. My periods would last anywhere from 10 to 22 days. With most days being quite heavy. I had a few drs tell me I just had to learn to deal with it that is was part of life. in 2006 I changed dr and found the most wonderful DR (Dr Shawn White) I only went to him 7 months before in fixed the problem for good. I have two novasure abaltions(not sure if spelled correctly). Neither of those worked and since I was not planning on more children he did a hystrorectomy. I have told my dr on several occasions he saved my life for there was times I could not leave home for the heavy bleeding.
If you can find a sliding fee clinic they have all types of dr.s good luck.View Thread
